Discount Calculator
Calculate the payable total and item savings for a discounted order.
Formula and assumptions
Order · Discount per item = Original unit price × Discount (%) ÷ 100. Discounted unit price = Original unit price × (1 − Discount (%) ÷ 100). Order tax = Original unit price × (1 − Discount (%) ÷ 100) × Quantity × Tax (%) ÷ 100. Final total = Original unit price × (1 − Discount (%) ÷ 100) × Quantity × (1 + Tax (%) ÷ 100). Total savings = Original unit price × Discount (%) ÷ 100 × Quantity.
Tax applies to the discounted price. Savings compare pretax merchandise prices.
